Under Murray’s leadership, HarperCollins has transitioned from a traditional print publishing company to a dynamic print and digital publisher with more than $350M in digital revenues derived from new and innovative business models. The company’s strategic partnerships and strong relationships with booksellers and distributors of all sizes, new start-ups and large tech platforms have been instrumental in HarperCollins’ transformation.
Murray joined HarperCollins in 1997 and held several positions in the U.S. General Books Group until he was named Chief Executive Officer of HarperCollins Australia/New Zealand in 2001. In 2004, he returned to the United States as Group President.
Murray is past chair of the Association of American Publishers and currently serves on the board. He has also served on the Executive Committee of the International Publishers Association, where he was actively involved in activities that protect authors’ copyrights and freedom of expression.

She works with each division around the world to manage commercial relationships with new and existing digital partners, grow digital revenues, oversee the company’s developing foreign language publishing program. Larry Nevins Executive Vice President, Operations Larry Nevins, Executive Vice President of Operations, is responsible for overseeing global digital operations, distribution, creative operations, information technology, administration, operations and supply chain and the facilities management functions at HarperCollins Publishers Worldwide. He was appointed to this position in July 2008. Nevins joined HarperCollins in 2001 as Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Operations. In 2005, he assumed responsibilities for the Creative Operations departments and established the Digital Publishing Services group. Prior to joining HarperCollins, Nevins was Vice President, Director of Business Operations at Penguin Putnam Inc. He also served as Vice President of Production Systems and Operations for Penguin USA. Nevins began his career in the Children’s Book Division at Macmillan Publishing, before moving into roles at Scholastic and Viking Penguin.

Janet Gervasio is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for HarperCollins Publishers, responsible for accounting, credit and collections, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, internal and external financial reporting, financial analysis and strategic management. She was appointed to this position in 1999.
Gervasio joined HarperCollins Publishers in 1985 as Budget Director. She later served as Business Manager of Basic Books, Vice President Finance of Children’s and Vice President Finance of North America before being named CFO. Gervasio came to HarperCollins from Arthur Andersen, where she was a Senior Accountant. She is a certified public accountant.

Diane Bailey is Senior Vice President, Human Resources and directly oversees all human resources functions for HarperCollins worldwide. Diane works closely with the HarperCollins executive team and News Corp on employee initiatives. She joined the company in 2009.
Prior to her career in book publishing, Bailey held several human resources management positions. She worked in a number of roles at Unilever between 1989 and 2005, including Vice President, Human Resources (both in Canada and the United States). Bailey moved to Ann Taylor in 2006, before joining Heineken USA as Vice President, Human Resources in 2008.
Senior Vice President, Human Resources Zandra Magariño is Senior Vice President of Human Resources, overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources functions for HarperCollins worldwide. She sits on the HarperCollins global executive committee. Prior to joining HarperCollins, Zandra served as Chief People Officer for José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup. Zandra has also held executive roles with AOL, Tyco International, Omnicom, and Centrica. She has extensive experience leading HR teams across a range of industries including media, technology, e-commerce, advertising, energy, hospitality, and professional services. He oversees legal matters in all 17 countries where the company has operations, providing legal advice on a wide range of issues, as well as ensuring successful adherence to and implementation of all legal and compliance requirements consistent with News Corp (HarperCollins’s parent company) policy and local laws and regulations. Adams previously served as Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Penguin Random House (PRH), where he worked for 18 years in the legal department. Prior to joining PRH, Adams was an associate with the publishing and media law firm Davis Wright Tremaine, where he represented publishers in libel, copyright and publishing-related lawsuits. He began his career at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York. Adams graduated from Columbia College and earned his law degree from Yale Law School.

Charlie Redmayne CEO, HarperCollins UK Charlie served as a Lieutenant in 1st Battalion, The Irish Guards, between 1985 and 1989. He began his career in the entertainment and communications industry at the now defunct breakfast TV business, TV-am, where he worked in sales and marketing, leaving in 1992. Between 1993 and 2006, Charlie was a highly successful entrepreneur, founding the media buying company RCL Communications, big screen entertainment business, Blink TV and, in 2000, one of the UK’s leading teen Internet companies, MyKindaPlace Ltd. This latter was sold to BSkyB in 2006 and Charlie became Head of Commercial Partnerships at Sky. In 2008, he moved to HarperCollins UK to become Group Digital Director and was promoted to the global role of Chief Digital Officer within HarperCollins a year later. In 2011, he left HarperCollins to work with JK Rowling as the launch CEO of Pottermore. Charlie returned to HarperCollins as CEO of the UK business in August 2013. Craig Swinwood Publisher and Chief Executive Officer, Harlequin Craig Swinwood was appointed Publisher and CEO of Harlequin in January 2014, and is responsible for Harlequin’s global Publishing and Operations. Prior to assuming this position, Craig served as the Chief Operating Officer, North America for Harlequin Enterprises Ltd., where he was responsible for the North American operating units. Craig joined Harlequin in 1987 as a Sales Representative and subsequently held progressively more senior roles in Sales and Marketing.
